Political groups supporting the second-term bid of Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, have been cautioned against the use of indecent language and verbal attacks in their campaigns.
The Principal Private Secretary to the governor, Prof. Bello Ayuba, gave the advice on Sunday in Zaria while inaugurating the Zaria branch of the Uba Sani Engagement and Sensitisation Forum (USESF). He urged the coordinators to focus on publicising the administration’s achievements rather than engaging opposition elements in a war of words.
Ayuba said the administration had accomplished much in just over three years, but its achievements had not received adequate publicity.
He highlighted the construction and rehabilitation of more than 1,300 kilometres of roads across the state’s 23 local government areas, with about 700 kilometres already commissioned.
He also cited the upgrading of 255 Primary Healthcare Centres from Level One to Level Two, renovation of more than 500 schools, and the deployment of 100 CNG buses offering free services on designated routes in Kaduna metropolis.
According to him, the buses have benefited more than 2.5 million commuters and saved them over N3.2 billion in transport fares.
Also speaking, the Executive Secretary of the Kaduna State Primary Health Care Services Management Board, Prof. Bashir Jamoh, said the improved road network had significantly enhanced healthcare delivery, particularly in rural communities.
He explained that vaccines and medicines could now be transported from cold stores to health facilities more quickly, unlike in the past when poor roads hindered timely access to essential health commodities.
