The Executive Governor of Bauchi State, His Excellency Bala Mohammed, alongside the state First Lady, Hajiya Aisha Mohammed, on Wednesday received Bauchi State students who have been awarded scholarships to pursue higher education in China.
Out of the 50 beneficiaries of the program, 20 students have so far been cleared for travel to commence degree programs across various fields of study. The visit was to seek the Governor’s blessing and guidance ahead of their departure.
In his remarks, Governor Bala Mohammed congratulated the students and encouraged them to remain law-abiding, focused, and diligent in their studies. He urged them to be good ambassadors of Bauchi State and Nigeria as a whole.
In her remark, the First Lady, Hajiya Aisha Mohammed, also advised them to uphold discipline, seize the opportunity for academic excellence, and return home to contribute meaningfully to the development of the state.
