Bauchi State First Lady, Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed, has stepped up efforts to support the rehabilitation of drug offenders while empowering vulnerable women across the state. During separate visits to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Bauchi State Command and the State Hisbah Board, she offered counselling, words of encouragement, and humanitarian assistance aimed at helping beneficiaries build productive, lawful lives.

At the NDLEA facility, the First Lady interacted with individuals undergoing rehabilitation as well as suspects in custody, urging them to learn from past mistakes and embrace skills training for a smooth reintegration into society.

To improve their immediate welfare, she donated food items and drinking water. The State Commander, CN Hassan Yaqub, praised her visit and highlighted the command’s ongoing efforts to equip individuals with vocational skills to foster self-reliance upon release.

In a similar initiative in Tudun Wadan Dan Iya, Dr. Aisha Bala Mohammed collaborated with the Bauchi State Hisbah Board to counsel local women on abandoning negative behaviors.

Applauding the visible positive changes demonstrated by the group, the First Lady presented empowerment materials to support their small businesses and livelihoods, reinforcing her commitment to lifting vulnerable families out of poverty.

The Permanent Commissioner of the Hisbah Board, Barrister Aminu Balarabe Isa, commended the First Lady’s intervention while advising the women to remain steadfast in their reform.

Across both engagements, beneficiaries expressed deep appreciation for her prayers, advice, and material aid, describing the outreach as a crucial source of hope and motivation.
