President Bola Tinubu, GCFR marked a new chapter for border enforcement today, April 4, by unveiling the state-of-the-art Nigeria Customs Service FOU Zone A headquarters in Iperu, Ogun State. The inauguration of the modern complex underscores the Federal Government’s drive to modernize the Service and bolster economic security within the Ikenne Local Government Area and beyond.
Following the cargo airport inauguration, President Tinubu arrived at 15:08 to unveil the new Customs hub. He saluted CGC Bashir Adewale Adeniyi for his visionary leadership in creating such an impressive and functional facility for the Nigeria Customs Service.
Far more than a mere office, this landmark complex integrates high-tech workspaces, premium onsite housing, and a specialized training college. This all-in-one hub is poised to revolutionize the Service’s operational output while precision-sharpening the skills of its personnel;
“I hereby declare this building open, to the glory of God,” Mr. President said.
There is a palpable sense of pride among the officers of FOU Zone A, who described the new complex as a massive boost to personnel morale.
According to Sooth News, this development is a historic “first,” finally providing the unit with a world-class, purpose-built home.
However, beyond the architecture, the project stands as a powerful statement of support for the dedicated men and women of the Nigeria Customs Service.
