Strategic Alliance: NIPR Pledges Closer Ties with New Bauchi NUJ Leadership

The Bauchi State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has pledged to solidify its strategic partnership with the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Bauchi State Council, to aggressively drive professional excellence and ethical standards in media practice.

The commitment was officially anchored during a high-level courtesy visit by the newly elected state NIPR executive council, led by the Chapter Chairman, Muhammad Rabi’u Wada, to congratulate the newly minted leadership of the state NUJ following a highly successful council election.

Speaking during the strategic engagement, Wada highly commended the immediate past NUJ Chairman, Comrade Umar Sa’idu, for his visionary leadership in initiating the ongoing modernization of the Bauchi NUJ Press Centre. Wada described the structural upgrade as a milestone development that will provide a highly conducive, world-class operational environment for media professionals.

Responding, the newly elected Bauchi NUJ Council Chairman, Comrade Isah Garba Gadau, expressed deep appreciation for the NIPR’s delegation, characterizing the visit as a clear validation of the historic, cordial bond existing between both professional bodies.

Gadau firmly assured the delegation that his administration is fiercely committed to an inclusive governance model built on transparency, structural unity, and absolute professionalism across all media chapels in the state. He further committed to opening up the union’s corporate facilities to support relevant NIPR human capacity initiatives, emphasizing the intertwined roles of public relations and journalism in national development.

Concluding the roundtable, the NUJ Chairman called for deeper, sustained institutional cooperation from the NIPR and allied stakeholders. He noted that such strategic synergy remains indispensable for the new administration to seamlessly consolidate on legacy achievements, expand journalists’ welfare metrics, and elevate the corporate communication landscape of Bauchi State.
