Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, CFR, has honored Mallam Ibrahim Abubakar Jibril, FCILT, with the prestigious title of Sarkin Yakin Zazzau.(Permanent Member of the Emirate Council and King Maker) Mallam Jibril, a retired NIMASA Director, previously served as the President of CILT Nigeria and as an International Vice President, marking a distinguished career in the maritime and logistics sectors.

”Having over fourty-five (45) years of professional experience, Mallam Ibrahim Abubakar Jibril qualified as a Licenced Aircraft Engineer and holds an Advanced Diploma & Bachelor’s Degree both in Public Administration and a Master’s Degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
”An astute professional who operated Helicopters to partner with the Federal government in the eradication/control of pests such as Quilea Birds, Grasshoppers, Tse-Tse Flies, etc.”
”As a consummate Administrator, he participated fully in driving the professionalization of the Logistics and Transport Practice and coordinated Multi-modal Transport Training in Nigeria.
”A highly esteemed and respected Maritime Administrator who made enormous contributions to the Federal Government Reforms in the Nigerian Sea Ports.
”As a seasoned Maritime Labour expert, he was one of the initiators and drivers of human and infrastructure capacity building which saw to the training of thousands of Seafarers in the maritime industry and under the Nigerian Seafarers Development Programme (NSDP) including Dockworkers. The Sarkin Yakki is ” a Board Member of CILT, Nigeria and a former member of the Governing Councils of the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology (NITT), Zaria; Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM); the Centre for Logistics and Transport (CELTRAS) of the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria and participated fully in the Governing Board meetings of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) in Geneva.
