The Emir of Bauchi, Alh. Dr. Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu, the Sarki Yakin Daular Usmaniya, recently prayed for the Couples, as the Majidadin Bauchi, Dr. Ahmad Ambi gave his daughter in Marriage.
The wedding was held at the house of Senator Adamu Ambi, Bakin Kura Street, in Bauchi town was conducted in line with Islamic rites. After answering all questions, the sum of N200.000.00 (Two Hundred Thousand Naira) only was publicly tendered in line with Islamic injunction as ”Sadaki” (Dowry), confirming the wedding of Pharmacist Idris Abubakar Munkaila and Reg. Nurse Fatima Ahmad Ambi.
It was officiated by the Chief Imam of Bauchi, Sheikh Bala Baban Inna, represented by Alh. Ado Limanci. Prayers were also offered by the Marafan Bauchi and Shiekh Balarabe Isa.
The Emir of Bauchi, HRH, Alh. Dr. Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu, sent a high – powered delegation led by
key traditional titles holders in the Emirate, namely, the Galadiman Bauchi, Sur. Ibrahim Sa’idu Jahun, Marafan Bauchi – Grand Khadi Abdullahi Yakubu, Mabudin Sarkin Bauchi Audu Mulki, Gadon Sarkin Bauchi, Alh Ladan Lamaran, Kaigaman Bauchi, Alh Hamza Muhammad Malami and Dan Isa Bauchi, they all offered prayers, begging God, the Almighty to bless the marriage.
On behalf of the Majidadin Bauchi Family, the dowry was received by Alh. Muhammad Ambi, the Yarima Babba of Majidadin Bauchi who later handed over the bride to the representative of the groom.
The wedding was equally graced by other prominent Royal Fathers, few among them were HRH Alh. Ahmed Suleiman, the Emir of Misau, represented by
Sarkin Gwaram and Cikaren Misau, respectively. The Emir of Gombe, HRH, Abubakar Shehu Abubakar, CFR, represented by Garkuwan Gombe. From Deba Emirate was equally represented by Sarkin Sudan, Dr Mohammed Abubakar Mahdi, all of them prayed for the Couples.
The memorable wedding also had in attendance academecians drawn from Federal Polytechnic Bauchi, University of Maiduguri, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Federal University Lafia.
Sooth News cited the Rector of Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic, Dr. Adamu Saidu, the Director of Academic Planning (DAP) Federal Polytechnic Bauchi, Dr. Usman Y. Dutse, and other lecturers from the Polytechnic.
The Dean, Post Graduate College, ABU – Zaria, Professor M. N. Shuaibu, and Professor Aminu Adamu Ambi,
Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, ABU Zaria were also in attendance.
However, from the University of Maiduguri, where the bride’s father had his first degree was represented by one of his lecturers, Prof Fanna Abdulrahman.
The groom’s father, Alhaji. Abubakar Danladi Munkaila (whom Sooth News can describe as an intelligent, patience, reliable and God fearing elder) of Bakaro quarters, Bauchi was accompanied to the wedding by his children, relations and friends. He was full of gratitude to God Almighty for them to witnessed the wedding. Alh. Munkaila also pray for the Couples and urged them to be patience with one another.
Some principals’ officers from the Majidadi’s cabinet were not left out, they are Dr. Bello Madaki Beli (the Madakin Beli & Majidadin Majidadi of Bauchi), Prof. Aminu A. Ambi, Galadiman Majidadin Bauchi, Dr, Bashir Ambi, Ubandoman Majidadin Bauchi & Jakada Awe who was represented by Messrs. Alh. Anas Ambi, Saleh Adamu, and Lawal Bashir Ambi, (Amir). Others were Garkuwan Majidadin Bauchi, Prof. Nasirudeen Baba, Sardauna Majidadin Bauchi, Engr. Adamu H, Walin Majidadin Bauchi, Alh. Hamisu Kawu and Matawallen Majidadin Bauchi, Dr. Garba Saidu, Consultant, Teaching Hospital, Bauchi.
Dr, Ahmad A. Ambi later turbaned the bride with a traditional title of ” Yarzakin Majidadin Bauchi.” meaning a title meant for Princess. The role of a princess is to tell the subjects of the king’s heir, that one has to be respected and should enjoy every one’s protection.
The Majidadin Bauchi also honored his former lecturer, Dept. of Bio Chemistry, Prof. Fanna Abdulrahaman, she came all the way from Yerwa, Maiduguri to witnessed the wedding. The erudite Prof. was turbaned as ”Uwar Soron Majidadin Bauchi.”
Other personalities from the political class captured by Sooth News were, Rt. Hon Ahmed Abdullahi, Member representing Dass, Hon Abdulrashid Adamu Mu’azu the Kogunan Bauchi and Hon Dr. Nasiru Ala Sarkin (Yakin Chinade) Member Representing Chinade/Madara constituency.
In an interview with the bride’s father, the Majidadin Bauchi, pray that Allah bless the wedding and wish all guests a safe trip back to their respective destinations. He was appreciative to his leader, HRH, the Emir of Bauchi Dr. Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu, the Sarkin Yakin Daular Usmaniya, the Galadiman Bauchi, Marafa, Mabudin, Chief Imam, Dan Isa, Gadon, etc. He equally thanked the Gombe Emirate, Deba, Misau, all academicians, all politicians, all Clerics, his cabinet members and the entire Ambi’s family.
The Majidadi’s family earlier organized a pre- wedding events, featuring the traditional Kamu, Kauyawa and Walima.
A befitting durbar was also held a day after the wedding fatiha due to heavy downpour.
The wedding fatiha was well attended by different personalities cut across different strata, as the street of Bakin Kura in Bauchi town was put to a halt, praise singers were not left out, horse riders, etc.
