The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has reaffirmed the commitment of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) to supporting vulnerable Nigerians through targeted social interventions, as food items worth millions of naira were distributed to vulnerable groups in Bauchi State.

Represented at the event by the Wife of the Vice President, Hajiya Nana Kashim Shettima, Mrs Tinubu said the Food Outreach Scheme, launched in March under the RHI Social Investment Programme, was designed to provide relief to persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups while supporting families and improving their well-being.
According to her, the initiative reflects the Federal Government’s commitment to cushioning the difficulties faced by women, children and other vulnerable members of society.

She noted that the intervention was made possible through generous support and was aimed at ensuring that vulnerable Nigerians receive practical assistance at a time they need it most.
She urged beneficiaries to make judicious use of the food items and other support provided to improve the welfare of their families.

Receiving the items, the Bauchi State First Lady, Hajiya Aisha Bala Muhammad, described the intervention as timely and meaningful, particularly amid the economic challenges confronting many households.
She said the state would complement the initiative with cash assistance of over ₦2.7 million to vulnerable beneficiaries across the 20 Local Government Areas, including school children, orphanages and Almajirai.
Aisha Muhammad commended Senator Oluremi Tinubu for the gesture, saying it had brought smiles and renewed hope to women and vulnerable people in Bauchi, and assured that the state would continue to support initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of women, children, persons with special needs and other vulnerable groups.
