Former President Goodluck Jonathan on Monday commissioned 18 township roads covering 49.7 kilometres in Bauchi metropolis, built at a cost of N58.7 billion.

He described the project as a product of purposeful governance under Governor Bala Mohammed, noting that the roads reflect investment in infrastructure that improves living standards and drives economic growth.
Jonathan urged residents to protect the infrastructure, stressing the need for collective responsibility to ensure its longevity.
Governor Mohammed said the roads connect key residential, commercial and public areas, and were built with durable pavement, drainage, culverts, markings and solar streetlights.
The Governor said the project has already improved mobility, boosted economic activity and created jobs.
