As part of his vision to build a dynamic, efficient, and results-oriented diplomatic mission, His Excellency, Lt Gen Ambassador Abdulrahman Dambazau, Nigeria’s Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, convened his first monthly strategic meeting with Home-Based Officers of the Nigerian Embassy in Beijing.
The meeting marked another significant step in Ambassador Dambazau’s ongoing efforts to reposition the Embassy for greater efficiency, accountability, and impactful service delivery in line with Nigeria’s foreign policy objectives and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Addressing the officers, Ambassador Dambazau charged members of the Mission to remain committed to the highest standards of professionalism, discipline, integrity, and teamwork. He emphasized the need to continually enhance their capacity, embrace innovation, and work collectively towards promoting Nigeria’s interests while providing quality and responsive services to Nigerians in China.
He noted that the Embassy must remain focused on strengthening economic diplomacy, attracting investments, promoting trade and technology partnerships, protecting the welfare of Nigerians, and projecting a positive image of the country on the global stage.
Calling for unity of purpose, Ambassador Dambazau urged every officer to approach their responsibilities with renewed dedication and a shared commitment to excellence, stressing that effective diplomacy requires collective effort, strategic thinking, and unwavering patriotism. He also prayed for divine guidance, wisdom, and strength for all members of the Mission as they work together to deliver on Nigeria’s diplomatic objectives.
Since assuming office, Ambassador Dambazau has continued to demonstrate purposeful and proactive leadership through strategic engagements with government institutions, global corporations, development partners, and diplomatic stakeholders across China.
