Lafarge Africa Plc has recorded a Profit After Tax of N97.95 billion for the first quarter of the 2026 financial year, representing a 101 per cent increase from the N48.64 billion posted in the corresponding period of 2025.

The company also announced that net sales rose by 35 per cent to N334.88 billion, compared to N248.35 billion recorded in the same period last year.

The Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Lolu Alade-Akinyemi, attributed the strong performance to sustained revenue growth, improved production volumes, enhanced plant stability, distribution efficiency, and disciplined cost management.

He said operating profit grew by 97 per cent to N141 billion, while prudent financial management also contributed to the sharp rise in earnings.

Alade-Akinyemi said the company would continue to leverage the expertise of Huaxin Building Materials Ltd to improve operations and unlock greater efficiency gains.

He expressed optimism over continued expansion in Nigeria’s infrastructure and construction sectors, adding that Lafarge Africa remains focused on supply reliability, innovation, sustainability initiatives, and delivering long-term value to shareholders.
