VP Kashim Shattima Invites Investors to Explore Opportunities in Bauchi State

By: Bashir Hassan Abubakar

Vice President Kashim Shettima has called on both local and foreign investors to take advantage of the vast economic opportunities in Bauchi State.

He made the call while representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the opening of the Bauchi State Economic and Investment Summit.

The Vice President said the federal government is committed to building a stable and profitable business environment, assuring investors of continuous reforms to boost economic growth and ease of doing business across all sectors.

Shettima commended Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, for organizing what he described as a visionary summit that aligns with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda for inclusive and diversified economic development.

In his remarks, Governor Bala Mohammed reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to attracting investors by creating a business-friendly environment. He noted ongoing partnerships with Chinese firms in agriculture, manufacturing, and infrastructure as part of efforts to industrialize the state.

The Governor emphasized that Bauchi’s investment agenda is anchored on transparency, accountability, and innovation — leveraging the state’s natural resources, youthful population, and improving infrastructure to position Bauchi as a leading economic hub in Northern Nigeria.

Representatives of both local and foreign investors, including the Director General of the Kano Chamber of Commerce and the Tunisian Ambassador to Nigeria, commended the Bauchi State Government for creating a conducive atmosphere for investment.

They expressed readiness to partner with the state across key sectors — a move expected to further open Bauchi to global business opportunities.
