BREAKING: Certificate Forgery: Embattled Minister Geoffrey Nnaji Resigns

Chief Geoffrey Uche Nnaji, the Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology, has resigned.

President Bola Tinubu has accepted the resignation of the embattled minister, who had been under public scrutiny for defending himself against allegations of certificate forgery published by PREMIUM TIMES.

In a statement released on Monday, October, 6 by the President’s spokesperson, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, the President said he has accepted Nnaji’s decision, which came about, ‘following some allegations against him’.

The statement recalled that Nnaji was appointed in August 2023.

‘He resigned today in a letter thanking the President for allowing him to serve Nigeria.

‘Nnaji said he has been a target of blackmail by political opponents.

‘’President Tinubu thanked him for his service and wished him well in future endeavours’’ the statement read.
