FORMER MILITARY ADMINISTRATOR SENATOR MANA DIES AT 74.

According to a report from The Nation, Former Military Governor of Plateau State, Colonel Muhammad Mana (rtd.), has passed away at the age of 74.

He died on Saturday, August 22, 2025, after a brief illness.

Col. Mana, WHO was a military administrator in Plateau State between 1993 and 1996, later represented Adamawa North in the Senate.

During his tenure as military administrator, he was widely recognized for initiating projects and policies that advanced the state’s development and contributed to national growth.

His death has sparked an outpouring of tributes from leaders and citizens alike.

Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, described the passing of the retired officer as “a painful loss to his family, the people of Plateau, and the nation.”

Governor Mutfwang commended Mana’s efforts in fostering peace, unity, and progress during a critical period in Plateau’s history.

He noted that Mana’s wisdom and leadership would be deeply missed, particularly at a time when Nigeria is grappling with challenges of stability and cohesion.

“On behalf of my family, the government, and the people of Plateau State, I extend heartfelt condolences to the family of Col. Mana.

We pray for God’s strength and comfort for them in this period of mourning,” the governor said.

Col. Mana’s legacy as both a military administrator and lawmaker is remembered with respect, as tributes continue to pour in from across the country.
