The RBA Charity Foundation for the Destitute recently distributed assorted materials to less privileged Households in five locations within the Bauchi Metropolis.
Speaking to Sooth News shortly after the distributions, the founder, Rahinatu Bashir Ambi (RBA), a final year student of the Faculty of Law, Crescent University, Abeokuta, Ogun State, said, ”We are grateful to Almighty God for showing us a day like this. The primary purpose of this foundation is to assist the less privileged members of Society, particularly children, women, and others. It is a non-profit, non-governmental, non-religious, and non-political foundation. Our mission is to put some smiles on the faces of our brothers & sisters, who are vulnerable in a society devoid of ethnic, political, or religious affiliation. We want to enhance their well-being to the best of our ability.” RBA stated.
She further explained As we advance, by HIS Grace, we intend to offer scholarships (to study or vocational training) particularly to the less-privileged children, we also intend, by HIS Grace, to embark on economic empowerment and other notable community development services. This foundation highly feels the pains of the destitute in society. ” she added.
RBA also informed us that ” Howbeit, the foundation is very young, but this is the second time we embarked on this type of intervention. The first one was carried out at the Islamic Mission for Africa (IMA) Secondary School, Abeokuta. We distributed sanitary napkins to over 200 female students. We want to bring succour to many households and vulnerable members of society.”
RBA Foundation called on other members of the middle and upper stratum of society to imbibe the spirit of rendering some help to the less privileged in our midst to enhance love, sincere trust, and to appreciate what God, the Omnipotent, Omniscient, and Omnipresent, has been doing to us all. Let’s render some help, please.”
”We are very proud and appreciative of our sponsor (s), may God reward them,” she said.
Items distributed included clothes, prayer mats, Zam Zam Water and Cash.
The foundation was able to cover five places within the metropolis, namely, 3 Arabic Schools within Fadaman Mada axis, Unguwar Makafi and Angwan Dumi, all within the City of Bauchi.
Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Alaramma Shehu Usman, thanked the RBA Foundation for the kind gesture.
Alaramma Usman, who said this is the first time such a gesture was extended to them, however, called on the well-to-do in the society to always support the needy, especially with food and other necessities.
